Posted: January 11, 2012
Members of the public are invited to attend a free seminar entitled ‘The Anti-Inflammation Diet’ on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at noon at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.

Presented by Halton Healthcare Services, the seminar will feature nutritionist, author, and television show host, Julie Daniluk. Julie Daniluk hosts Healthy Gourmet, a reality cooking show on the Oprah Winfrey Network, is a health expert for the Marilyn Dennis Show and has appeared on numerous TV and radio shows including The Dr. Oz Show, CTV's Breakfast TV and Wylde on Health. Graduating from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Julie went on to become a co-operative owner of one of Canada’s largest health food stores, The Big Carrot Natural Food Market. Julie’s search for nutritional understanding has taken her around the world. Her greatest joy to date has been cooking on the Greenpeace tall sailing ship the Rainbow Warrior during its GE-free New Zealand tour.

Inflammation is on the rise. Conditions such as allergies, skin disorders, asthma, heart disease, arthritis and any other condition ending in "itis" all have an inflammatory component. During this ‘Anti-Inflammation Diet’ seminar, Julie Daniluk
will be speaking on how pain can be caused by inflammation, and will discuss how to change our immune response through diet.

To learn more about meals that can heal inflammation, attend this free seminar on Thursday, January 26 at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, 327 Reynolds Street, Oakville. Healthy refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Whole Foods market. The seminar will begin at noon and end around 1:00 pm.
