Door to Door Campaign

Oakville Hospital Foundation Going Door-to-Door This Summer Asking For Your Support

OAKVILLE, ON – May 31, 2018 –. Starting on June 4th until August 31st, the Oakville Hospital Foundation will be asking Oakville residents to become a monthly donor through a door to door fundraising campaign.

Canvassers will go door to door on behalf of the Hospital to ask for community support by joining the Oakville Hospital Foundation’s monthly giving program. This summer campaign will raise awareness and funds and provide an opportunity for the community to find out more about the new Hospital.

The Oakville Hospital Foundation is partnering with Globalfaces Direct to execute the door-to-door fundraising campaign in the community.  Canvassers will be in Oakville, North East Burlington, and North West Mississauga neighbourhoods. These Canvasser will have an OTMH lanyard with a photo I.D. that will be clearly visible.  They will also be wearing vests with the Oakville Hospital Foundation logo. Canvassers will be in neighbourhoods Monday through Saturday, excluding major holidays, asking potential donors to consider making a contribution to the Hospital. This is done either through direct debit or credit card payment.  Cash will not be accepted.

“The monthly giving program provides a simple and convenient way for individuals to support Oakville’s hospital,” said Mary McPherson, CEO of the Oakville Hospital Foundation. “By arranging pre-authorized payments each month, donors can support our ongoing equipment needs every day of the year.”

The monthly giving program is an important source of funding for the Hospital which is why OTMH physicians and staff  pledged to match 100% of all new contributions made as a result of the door to door campaign up to $134,134.
