After many years of philanthropic and volunteer support to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, Frank Lochan pledged an additional $1,000,000 to the Hospital.

“I support our hospital because it is the organization in this community that we all need,” said Frank Lochan. “OTMH caters to our growing community and provides the kind of healthcare services that are urgently needed.” Frank added that he has been fortunate to be associated with Brookfield Asset Management Inc. for many years and was inspired by the generosity shown by his Brookfield colleagues over the years.

The former Oakville Hospital Foundation Board Chairman is a passionate supporter of programs that support patients struggling with mental health issues.In recognition of his generosity, theCommunications Centre in the Emergency Observation Unit and the Adult Mental Health Outpatient Centre is named in their honour.

The Adult Mental Health Outpatient Centre provides assessment, treatment recommendations and options without the need for a hospital stay. It is a compilation of several clinics which includes community support, medication clinics, concurrent disorders program, geriatric services and a day hospital program.

Frank and his late wife Azniv have been long time supporters of the Hospital and had already established an endowed fund at the Oakville Community Foundation which provides funds annually, to be used to purchase equipment for the Hospital, currently and in perpetuity.

For seven years, Frank served as a director on the Oakville Hospital Foundation Board, including his role as chairman from 2009-2011. He is a member of the Foundation’s Loyal Friends Society, having given a gift to the Foundation each and every year for the past 15 years and he and his family are recognized for that support on the hospital donor wall in the Humanitarian category representing cumulative giving of $1 to $2 million.
