Volunteering Weaves Us Together

This week is National Volunteer Week, a time to celebrate the incredible work volunteers do to support the Oakville Hospital Foundation and Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH).

Through the dedication of their time and talents, we would like to take a few moments to acknowledge the difference their efforts make in the lives of our patients and their families at our hospital.

This year’s theme, “Volunteering Weaves Us Together”, couldn’t be more fitting.

We believe that the work volunteers do is not only important, but also deeply meaningful, and it brings together people from all walks of life to make a real impact. Volunteers weave together communities where people feel happier, healthier, and more welcome – creating a stronger, more connected Oakville. And for that, we are grateful beyond words for everything they do.

As we celebrate Volunteer Week, we’d like to personally thank all our volunteers for their dedication, passion, and hard work. You are an essential part of our team, and we could not do what we do without you.

Thank you and we wish you all a wonderful Volunteer Week!

Meet our Volunteers

We collaborated with Hamza, the mastermind behind What Motivated You and an ER nurse at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial, to interview a group of extraordinary volunteers at OTMH. These interviews aim to explore their reasons for volunteering at the hospital and the driving force behind their dedication. Check out their responses in the videos below.
