Ramadan Food Drive
In partnership with Ismaili Council for Southwest Ontario
- Location -Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (3001 Hospital Gate Oakville, ON)Food insecurity is a growing challenge in Canada, with rising costs making it even harder for families to put meals on the table. Food banks are facing shortages while demand continues to rise.
This Ramadan (February 28 – March 30, 2025), Ismaili CIVIC is partnering with grocers and organizations across the country to help stock the shelves of regional food banks. Together, we can support individuals and families in need by donating newly purchased, non-perishable food items.
How to Donate
You can drop off food donations at designated areas in the hospital and at the Foundation office. Our office is on the first floor of the North Building, near the hallway leading to the Level 1 parking garage.

What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting, prayer, and acts of charity. One of the core pillars of Islam, Zakat (charitable giving), is especially emphasized during this time, encouraging generosity and support for those in need.
The Ramadan Food Drive embodies this spirit of giving, and we invite people of all backgrounds to join us in helping families facing food insecurity. Together, as a community, we can make a meaningful impact.
