We’re thrilled to announce a recent pledged donation of $250,000 from RBC Foundation to the Oakville Hospital Foundation! RBC Foundation’s donation supports the training and education of Emergency Department nurses at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). This generous donation will focus particularly on equipping nurses new to emergency medicine with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in this demanding field.
“On behalf of our extraordinary emergency nursing team, I want to express heartfelt gratitude to RBC Foundation for supporting nursing education and training,” said Shannon Tyrrell, Director of the Emergency Program. “This pledge not only helps to enhance patient outcomes but also helps build our team’s skills, recognizes their dedication, and helps strengthen the care we provide to our community.”
RBC Foundation’s donation underscores the vital role professional development plays in delivering world-class healthcare. With the hospital’s Emergency Department serving thousands of patients annually, the impact of this partnership will be immediate and far-reaching.
“We’re proud to support OTMH in providing specialized training for their exceptional nurses,” said Rick Atherton, Regional Vice President, Halton Region, RBC. “By investing in education, we’re helping to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to support career preparedness and progression, ultimately helping to build a healthier, more resilient community.”
