Your Concerns Answered

Planned giving is truly a generous and caring way to support your community through the Oakville Hospital Foundation. Your gift will help future generations receive the healthcare they require, close to home. However, there are many questions and considerations as you make decisions and share your vision with loved ones. We’ve provided answers to some of the most common concerns here, but we’d be happy to discuss any specific questions you may have.

“We have family to take care of”

Without question, your family comes first. People often believe they don’t have enough to share beyond family. It doesn’t have to be an “either/or” scenario. Review the tax savings from giving to OHF and you may be able to leave even more for your family members.

“That’s for rich people, we’re not rich”

You may be surprised to know we receive gifts of every size, and all are appreciated and needed. Each gift supports the hospital and allows us to keep abreast of evolving practices and the latest equipment. We do receive extraordinary gifts and they are amazing, but we also receive modest gifts and each one added with the other helps fill the gap between hospital needs and priorities each year.

“I don’t know any lawyers”

Start with asking for recommendations from people you know, friends and family, or call Deborah Bauder at 289-218-0715 and request a list of lawyers we have worked with on estates.

“I may change my mind”

We understand that your circumstances may change, and this does happen. Through consultation with your lawyer, you can adjust your Will at any time.

You’ll need our legal name for your estate documents:

Legal Name: Oakville Hospital Foundation
Charitable Registration #: 13145 3490 RROOO1
