This year, the annual Oakville Half Marathon is going virtual and giving back to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH), and no one is more supportive of this than Scott Rogers.
Scott’s ties to OTMH run deep. He is the chair of the OTMH Charity Golf Tournament and his children were born at OTMH.
“The hospital is so ingrained in our community which is why this year the Oakville Half Marathon is committing their support to OTMH,” says Scott Rogers, Director of the Oakville Half Marathon.
The Oakville Half Marathon is donating $10 from every registration fee directly to the Oakville Hospital Foundation. In addition, $25 from the sale of each hoodie and $10 from the sale of each t-shirt from Oakville Half Marathon’s clothing line “Out Run It” will be donated to OHF.
Participants can complete a half marathon (21.1K) or a 10K. Runners register for the event like they normally do and choose to run their own route on their own time.
Registration for the Oakville Half Marathon closes September 30th at midnight and runners have until October 31 to enter their race time.
“Participating in the Oakville Half Marathon gets our community running and staying healthy both physically and mentally, which is massively important for us,” says Scott. “And giving back to the hospital is also massively important, especially now.”
