Halton Healthcare is proud to have two teams participating in the upcoming Shoppers Run for Women event

The Outpatient Mental Health team, Team B-Well, and the Inpatient Mental Health team, Run to Renew, are both running to raise awareness and funds for mental health services. Both teams invite you to join them on May 27th at Bronte Creek Park to walk or run for mental health. Can’t make it? No problem! You can still support their mission to raise awareness and funds for mental health services by donating to their teams online.

Team B-Well

Team B-Well

Halton Healthcare offers outpatient mental health services to individuals in our community who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health and addiction issues.

Members from the outpatient team, Elma, Angela, Stephanie, Leah, and Jenn, have joined the Shoppers Run for Women for a few reasons.

“We run/walk to maintain our physical and mental health and to raise awareness and funds for quality services to effectively meet the mental health needs of women in our community.”

Run to Renew

Run to Renew

Halton Healthcare’s Inpatient Mental Health team provides assessment, stabilization and treatment within a secure setting for patients experiencing acute symptoms and who require the safety and intensity of a hospital admission.

We asked our inpatient team members, Sharon and Heather, why they’re running for Mental Health, “Our team is called Run to Renew, and we walk/run to support mental health awareness and advocate for better mental health services for patients. It is our goal to raise awareness about mental health issues and to encourage people to take care of their mental health, just as they do with their physical health.”
