Our excitement about the future of OTMH is at an all-time high. In just two years, we’ll have the space we need to provide improved access to timely, leading-edge care, close to home. The number of Halton residents aged 75 and older is expected to double in the next 20 years, and our hospital was built with that future in mind.
When OTMH opened in 2015, it included unfinished “shelled” space intentionally designed for future expansion. Finishing it is the fastest, most affordable way to increase capacity in our region — and construction is expected to begin as early as Spring 2026.
