Oakville Hospital Foundation Welcomes Three New Board Members

Oakville Hospital Foundation (OHF) welcomes three new members to its Board of Directors: Art Leitch, Samantha Nicol and Saud Juman.

Art rejoins the board after serving as Board Chair from 2022 to 2024. Samantha brings more than 15 years of experience in capital markets. Saud is a software founder, author and basketball coach.

Together, they will help guide OHF’s work to fund the medical equipment and technology used at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH), so patients in our growing community receive excellent care close to home.

Now Lets Meet the New Members

Art Leitch

Art Leitch returns to the Oakville Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, bringing extensive experience in corporate governance, leadership and business development.

Art first joined the Board in 2019 and served as Chair from 2022 to June 2024. The retired President and CEO of Hamilton Utilities Corporation, he has served on not-for-profit, corporate and provincial agency boards, including the Ontario Clean Water Agency and Thunder Bay Hydro.  We’re pleased to welcome Art back and grateful for the knowledge and expertise he brings to help advance care close to home.

Samantha Nicol

Samantha Nicol brings more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, where she has held leadership roles focused on business strategy and management, governance, colleague engagement, and cross-functional initiatives. Throughout her working and personal life, Samantha has been committed to giving back through volunteer work, with a focus on building inclusive communities.

As a Board member, Samantha will draw on her career experience, professional and community networks, and a genuine commitment to fundraising and donor engagement. Her goal is to help OHF continue to deliver world-class healthcare for our community for generations to come.

Saud Juman

Saud Juman has founded, scaled and sold companies in more than one industry. His last software company grew to serve over 3,000 hospitals worldwide before it was acquired in 2018. He wrote a book about what he learned, Own Your Exit, and speaks on how to build a career you can leave on your own terms.

Then he took his own advice and brought what he knew about building winning teams to basketball. He was on the coaching staff that won the 2025 CEBL championship with the Niagara River Lions, served as President of the Brampton Honey Badgers, and now coaches with the University of Waterloo Warriors.

A husband and father of four, Saud puts family first. He still sets aside time each month to mentor and invest in founders. In 2021, the Halton District School Board gave him The Inspire Award for his work toward a more equal community.
