Claudio's Better Care Story

When Claudio suddenly experienced loss of consciousness, vomiting and temporary vision changes, he was rushed to OTMH. Doctors quickly diagnosed him with a stroke and provided life-saving treatment.

“At OTMH I received emergency care. For that I will always be grateful,” says Claudio. “The professional and knowledgeable team made a difference at a critical time.”

Claudio then spent several weeks as an inpatient, recovering in a fully equipped patient room.

As we expand, we need to make sure every new patient room has the equipment needed to provide exceptional care.

And this is where you can help.

Give support to patients like Claudio. Your donation will be matched 2x!

Government funding does not cover the cost of the medical equipment needed to fully equip these new rooms.

Monitors, infusion pumps and other essential medical technology are needed to safely care for patients and support their recovery.

That brings me to my reason for writing to you today. As someone who has worked at OTMH for 13 years, I’ve seen firsthand the powerful impact your past support has had on patients and families. And I am deeply grateful.

If your situation allows, I hope you’ll take the opportunity this holiday season to renew your support. Your gift by December 31st, will help us equip a room with essential medical technology that saves lives and supports recovery for patients like Claudio.

With gratitude,

Dr. Nivedita Patel

Hospitalist
Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital

P.S. The new space at OTMH will be designed around patients – offering modern, private and semi-private rooms that promote comfort, dignity and recovery, close to home. Please help us equip a patient room by sending your special holiday gift today that will have twice the impact thanks to a match.

Help make life-saving care possible for patients like Claudio.

As our region grows, OTMH is adding 111 new patient beds. The government funds construction. Our community funds 100% of the equipment inside each room.

Thanks to a longtime supporter, your gift will be matched 2X, up to $300,000, when you give by December 31.
