OMEF's Better Care Story

This year, a new non-profit organization made an incredible $100,000 pledge to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Founded by a group of volunteers, the Oak Medical Education Foundation (OMEF) has a mission to support their local hospital by raising funds and engaging local communities. As well, it aims to identify and support local communities’ youth leaders with unique educational resources, volunteer experience and scholarship opportunities.

OMEF has a variety of fundraising initiatives in place to help them reach their goal, from facilitating educational programs to offering sponsorships to hosting traditional fundraising events. In the past year, they launched a youth tutoring program, leadership seminars and held a fun charity run. OMEF is just getting started and has many more educational and cultural programs in store all with a goal to raise funds and increase outreach in our community.
